As Advising Lead for Undeclared, I have the privilege of working with advisors who play a critical role in helping students navigate their transition to college while exploring academic and career options. Undeclared advisors provide individualized guidance that helps students identify their strengths, interests, and goals through meaningful conversations and intentional exploration of majors and academic programs. By helping students connect their interests to potential degree paths, our advisors empower them to make informed decisions about their future while maintaining progress toward graduation.

In addition to assisting with major exploration, our advisors serve as a central source of support and connection for students during their first year and beyond. They help students understand university policies and resources, develop academic success strategies, and connect with campus opportunities that promote engagement and belonging. Whether assisting with course selection, addressing academic concerns, or referring students to specialized campus services, advisors are committed to ensuring that undeclared students feel supported, confident, and prepared to successfully transition into a major that aligns with their personal and professional aspirations.
